"On the 19th of October, Mr. G.W. Houck, Sr., died at this residence about 1 1/2 miles from Granite Falls in Burke. Mr. Houck was about 70 years old and leaves a wife and four daughters and seven sons surviving him. He was the father of our excellent countyman, James A. Houck, Esq., of Granite."
