RIVERDALE - Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Horne Carey, 86, of Riverdale, formerly of Cochran, who died Saturday, July 15, 2006 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home in Cochran. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. -Mrs. Carey was born in Bleckley County, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Horne. She was the widow of Willis L. Carey. She was a retired seamstress. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melba B. Smith and a son, L. Ray Barron. -Survivors include two daughters, Sue (Russ) May of Marietta and Debbie Barron of Stockbridge; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. -The family will meet friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday night at Fisher Funeral Home in Cochran. -Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Published in The Telegraph on 7/18/2006.
