MARGUERITE H. ABBEY, 82, of Germantown passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 at her residence. She attended Central Church, was past president of the Olive Branch Women's Golf Association for over 20 years and was an ACBL Silver Life Master. Mrs. Abbey was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin Charles Abbey and is survived by her daughters, Marguerite Anne Ruffner of Cordova, Diane L. Abbey of Collierville and Susan G. Abbey of Memphis; son, Stan Abbey of Germantown; sister, Karen Gibson of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Joseph C. Higdon of Memphis; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1 until service time at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. The interment will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 14, in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery of Memphis. The family has requested memorials be sent to the Church Health Center of Memphis.
