DAVENPORT -- Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Sheryl E. Haut, a resident of Davenport, will be Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be offered at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sherry passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, after an extended illness. Sheryl Elizabeth Haut was born December 6, 1948, in Davenport, the daughter of Frank and Betty (Moser) Haut. In recent years Sherry was a librarian with Genesis Medical Center, prior to that she had been the librarian for many years at the Davenport Museum of Art. The only thing she loved more than being a librarian was her time spent with her horses. She was an accomplished rider and spent time at different stables on both sides of the river, where she enjoyed the love and devotion of very special friends. Sherry is survived by her parents, Frank and Betty Haut, Davenport; her brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Lois Haut, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; and her nephews and spouses, David and Rosanne Haut, Cary, Ill., and Gregory and DeAnna Haut, Mt. Prospect, Ill.
