Miriam Harris "Mickey" Ausborn, 70, of E. Belle Street, Henderson, NC died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late William Leonidas Harris Sr. and Maude Nelson Harris. She was the wife of the late Alton Watkins Ausborn, who also died on Saturday.

Mrs. Ausborn was an employee of Interiors & Gifts Too. She was a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the church choir and the United Methodist Women, and served as Financial Secretary and Sunday School Teacher.

Surviving are a daughter, Beth Seeman, and husband, Barry, and their children, Lila, Margaret, and Isabell, of Darien, Connecticut; a son, David Alton Ausborn, and wife, Ina, and their children, Holden and Ann Auston, of Raleigh, NC; five sisters, Anne H. Coghill, and husband, Marvin, of Wilson, NC, Jane H. Robertson, and husband, Edgar, Betty H. Dickerson, and husband, Sam, Nancy H. Bobbitt, and husband, Ruxton, all of Henderson, and Gayle H. Hollingsworth, and husband, Winston, of Rich Square, NC; a sister-in-law, Mildred B. Harris, of Henderson; and a brother-in-law, Edgar Pernell, of Henderson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy H. Pernell; and three brothers, Brooks Harris, Lonnie Harris, and Britt Harris.
