Alice was the daughter of Frederick K Harkness and Norberta Sallie Sparks. She was born in Santa Barbara County Ca. and died in San Luis Obispo Ca. Wife of Manuel Barcellos Jr. Manuel and Alice had one daughter Lillian Salley Barcellos Klewin. The photo at the right is Alice with her grandson.

OBITUARY
Mrs Alice Barcellos, 72, native of California and resident of the southern county area for many years, died yesterday morning at her home in Pismo Beach following a short illness.
She was born on Sept 28, 1881, in Santa Barbara, a former resident of Arroyo Grande, she had resided for the past 18 years in Pismo Beach where she and her husband, the late Manuel Barcellos owned and operated the Hotel Butler. He preceded her in death in 1951.
Mrs Barcellos is survived by a daughter , Mrs Lillian S Klewin of Pismo Beach; three sisters, Mrs Clara Moles of Los Angeles, Mrs Susie Harlow of San Francisco and Mrs Edna Martinez of Anaheim; and a grandson Barry W Klewin of Pismo Beach.
Rosary will be recited at 8 O'clock tonight in the R F Richardson company Funeral Chapel with requiem mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Old Mission. Entombment will be in the Catholic Mausoleum.
