"Mrs. Edith Wellman passed away at her home on East Clark street on Wednesday, September 15, 1925. She was born in Derbyshire, England, July 2, 1879. On December 13, 1898, she was united in marriage with Seymour Wellman, who died two years ago. To this union were born three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Moling of Brookfield, Mrs. J. C. Snyder of Marceline and Miss Bertha Wellman of Kansas City. There are also one brother and three sisters, Walter Hall and Mrs. Anna Zellers of Cincinnati, Iowa, Mrs. Nellie Zellers of Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Daisy Davis of Thermopolis, Missouri.
The funeral was Thursday from the residence of Mrs. Clyde Moling, 528 South Monroe street, with the Rev. C. L. Thomas, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery." Brookfield Gazette (Brookfield, Missouri), September 18, 1925
