Juan was born and raised in La Ceniga, NM. He proudly served 25 years in the United States Marine Corps and 5 years in the Fleet Reserves and retired as a SSGT. From 1950 to 1953, Juan served in Korea; from 1953 to 1955, Yokosuka, Japan; and from 1955 to 1956, Guam. Juan returned to the United States and married. He then served in Vietnam from 1961 to 1963 and again from 1968 to 1970. Juan retired from Santa Fe County after 16 years as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a loving husband and father. His grandchildren were his pride and joys.
