Lucie came to the United States from Canada with her parents. On 4 May 1862 she married Gregoire Baltazor in Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, Kankakee County, Illinois. They had twelve children. She started married life in Kankakee but soon moved to Washington County, Kansas. Not long after Gregory Albert was born Lucie and Gregoire separated. Lucie worked for the nuns at Saint Marys, Kansas for awhile. In 1897 she moved to Malheur County, Oregon where her oldest son lived. She left George and Gregory to finish school in Kansas and then they took the train to Oregon. The next year Rob and Ida McConnell, Med and Agnes Baltazor and Bill and Melvina Baltazor joined them.

"It was a jolly house party that celebrated the New Year at Mr. E. T. Baltazor's at Sheaville, Oregon, last week. It consisted of Mrs. Lucy Baltazor, her seven sons, one daughter, one son-in-law and three daughters-in-law and their children in all making thirty-two people present. The party lasted three days and will be a bright spot in the memory of all present for a long time to come."
Silver City Nugget, Owyhee County, Idaho, January 9, 1903, page 1.

She made several trips back to Kansas and Illinois to visit friends and relatives. During this time she had a couple of strokes and walked with a cane. Then two of her sons decided to go east and took her with them. At Philadelphia she had a third stroke and died in a nursing home.
