Sally Aragon, 81, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Gila Regional Medical Center. She was born November 23, 1929 to Frank Gonzales and Romana Trevizo in Silver City, NM. Sally came from the Father and came in to the world. Now, has left the world and is going back to the Father. Sally will be greatly missed by all. She served her Lord in many ways. She was generous with those less fortunate and was a friend to everyone. She had room for everyone. She was a caregiver. Sally was a member of St. Francis Newman Center and took part in the church funeral ministry. She was known as the Godmother by the church "Mafia ministry. She is survived by her loving husband of 63yrs, Maurice of the family home; son, Michael Aragon of Albuquerque; daughter, Norma Billings and husband Roland of Silver City; four grandchildren, Sara Billings, Dana Cates, Jade Billings and Rod Billings and wife Angela; five great grandchildren, Chris and Nicholas Billings, Natane Cates, Estefan and Elena Billings; one great-great grandchild, Kiki Aragon of Alb; foster children, Ceci Gomez, Jackie Zamora, Armando Ponce, Ramon Rueda, Hector Cano and Ernesto Montemayor. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Chester Aragon; a grandson, Mickey Aragon Jr. The holy rosary will be Monday, May 23rd at 6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Bill Holguin. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 24th at 11:30am at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Mike Williams officiating. The interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rod Billings, Frank Gonzales Jr., Ray Gonzales, Ed Sordyl, Tom Turrentine and Manuel Granado.
