This cemetery is located next to the Santa Catarina Cemetery off Boyd drive in the City of Carlsbad. The Municipal, Santa Catarina and Old Santa Teresa Cemeteries are all next to each other. The obits read as buried in Santa Catarina but were actually buried in Old Santa Teresa Cemetery, which was probably first known as San Jose Cemetery.

Rosary services for Sabina Duarte, 88, will be recited today at 7:30 p.m in Denton Funeral Home chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 4 p.m. in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Noel Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery.
She died Thursday in an Albuquerque hospital.
Born in Saragosa, Texas, she had lived in Malaga for 40 years. For the past five years, she had made her home in Albuquerque. She was a member of the Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Malaga.
Survivors include four sons, Abel Duarte Sr., Albuquerque, Alberto Duarte, Van Horn, Texas, Adon Duarte, Kermit, Texas and Alonzo Duarte, San Angelo, Texas; a daughter, Anita Zuniga, Albuquerque; a sister, Gabina Duarte, Malaga; and 33 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Zuniga Jr., Abel Duarte Jr., Leroy Duarte, John Duarte, Ron Duarte and Robert Duarte.
