Saturday, January 26, 1895DiedGARDNER - In San Rafael, January 23, 1895, Mrs. Nancy E. Gardner, aged 57 years, 4 months, and 17 days.We have to notice the sudden death of Mrs. E. Gardner, who was taken away without warning on the 23rd instant. To all appearances she had been enjoying good health, when she was suddenly stricken with apoplexy about 11 o'clock Tuesday evening. Medical aid was summoned, but little could be done to help her, and she died early Wednesday morning. She was a kind and genial neighbor and a thoughtful and tender nurse to care for the sickness of others. She leaves a husband and 5 children to mourn her loss. Funeral today at 10:30.
