Our beloved, Prescilla Gabaldón, age 66, a resident of Albuquerque, NM and formerly of Belén, NM, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009.
Prescilla was a member of Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church.
Prescilla enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with family and friends. Prescilla worked for the Belén Consolidated Schools and for Sam's Club.
Prescilla was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister whom will be sorely missed.
Prescilla was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Ferminia García and sisters, Emelina Chávez and Amalia Chávez.
Prescilla is survived by her three loving children, Liz Howe and her husband, Ron, Joan Kingston and Norbert Gabaldón and his wife, Debbie, four loving grandchildren, Norbert Jr. and Paul Gabaldón, Erin González and her husband, José and Stephanie Pérez and her husband, George, three great-grandchildren, Antonio José, Yalixza and Sebastian González, two sisters, Olivia Pino and MaryAnn Abeyta and her companion, Albert Chávez and four brothers, Marcelino García and his wife, Helen, Leo García and his wife, Trudy, Tony García and his wife, Oralia and Pat García. Prescilla is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church, 101 N. 10th St., in Belén, on Thursday, July 23, at 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belén Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Norbert Gabaldón Jr., Paul Gabaldón, George Pérez, José Gonzólez, Daniel Abeyta and Marvin García. Honorary pallbearers will be Dimas Castillo and Jerry Thompson. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to family and friends for their unending support during this difficult time.
