She was born February 25, 1918 in Durham, Arkansas, the daughter of James B. & Hestella Davis Gabbard.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Zell Goolsby who died in 1990, her parents, seven brothers and a granddaughter, Tara Russell.
She was a homemaker, a member of Buckner Baptist Church and loved piecing quilt tops.
She is survived by, a son, Zell Goolsby,, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Lincoln; a daughter, Betty McCawley and her husband Thomas of the home; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1 at Moore's Chapel.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2 at Moore's Chapel with Paul Woodhouse officiating and interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
