Mrs. Hestella Davis Gabbard, 69, resident of Elkins, died last night in a local hospital. Born May 3, 1892 in North Carolina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, she was the wife of James B. Gabbard and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors in addition to the husband are seven sons, George, Leroy, Leslie, Clyde, Calvin, Floyd, and Noah; one daughter, Ethel; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Mount Olive Community Church by the Rev. Noah Robbins. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
