Sarah married William "Billy" Joseph Anderson on April 3, 1879 in Hot Spring County, Arkansas, after the death of Billie's first wife, Mehettie. A copy of Sarah and Billy's marriage license is in their Family History Book. Together they had five children.
Sarah raised Allie Ann, Billy's daughter by his first wife. Allie was only two years old when Sarah and Billy were married.
1--Allie Ann [1877-1945] (Step-Daughter)
2--Edwin "Eddie" Garfield [1880-1972]
3--Ora [1881-1941]
4--Nettie Lorraine [1883-1956]
5--John Thomas "J.T." [1886-1971]
6--Addie [1888-????]
We do not have a picture of Sarah. In 1995 when we visited in the home of Sarah's granddaughter, Edna, there was a large picture of Sarah hanging on the living room wall. She was a beautiful lady. I took the picture of Sarah's headstone and footstone, the cemetery sign and the two headstones standing together.
If somebody has a picture they would like to add to this Memorial, please do.
You can see where the top of Sarah's headstone has been broken off. It was lying on the ground and I tried to find someone to go out and fix it, but no one wanted to go out there. I hope by now somebody has gotten it repaired. The
two headstones at one time was beautiful, but they are really badly weather beaten.
Sarah was married to my great-grand-Uncle.
