George W. Fowler, 75, died yesterday in a local hospital following a long illness.
He was born in the old Antioch community in Hot Springs county and lived his entire life in this county.
At the time of his death he was residing on the Sulphur Springs road.
He was a retired farmer and stockman and was first married to Miss Tennie Florence Heard, who died in 1931. On July 12, 1934, me married Miss Mary Stucky and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Malvern.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Chamberlain and Mrs. Austin Sesser, both of Malvern; a son, Max Fowler, Malvern; three brothers, Murdock Fowler, Malvern, and Will and Robert Fowler, Friendship; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted in the Emmanuel Baptist Church today by the Rev. Steve Thomas.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery by Atkinson Funeral Home.
