LAYTON MAN MEETS DEATH

T. G. Forbes killed Climbing Through Fence With Gun

LAYTON, March 19, _ Thomas G. Forbes was instantly killed near here yesterday afternoon
when a shotgun he was carrying was accidentally discharged and shot him in the head. Mr.
Forbes was hunting rabbits, and was climbing through a fence when the gun went off.
Mr. Forbes was a farmer here and son of the late John and Hannah Forbes. He was born in
Layton on July 25, 1876, and had always lived here.
He is survived by a widow who was formerly Miss Sarah Ray of South Weber, and the
following sons and daughters; Mrs. Vera Olsen of Ogden, La Veta Burton of Ogden, Mrs.
Digertha Heff of Farmington anf Phea, Eldren, Ray, Juanita Forbes, all of Layton. Two
grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers are also living; Miss Katherine
Driggs, Miss Hanna Green, Miss Janet Green, Miss Harriet Adams, Mrs. Davina Green, Mrs.
Eliza Adams and John Forbes of Layton.
