Barbara S. Edenton, 71, of Keswick died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.

Survivors include her husband, Carroll V. Edenton; her daughters, Catherine Jones and her husband, Bob, of Spotsylvania, Donna Shepherd and her husband, Bill of Partlow, and Teresa Hagy and her husband, Arthur of Palmyra; three sisters, Virgie Knight of Spotsylvania, Virginia Limerick of Caroline, and Lucille Gatewood of Spotsylvania; three brothers, Louis Seay of Spotsylvania, William Seay of Texas, and Thomas Seay of Staunton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carroll Vernon Edenton, Jr.; a brother, Johnny Seay; and a sister, Mildred Alsop.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 11 at Wallers Baptist Church with the Rev. James Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Wallers Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 at the church.
