Born in Virginia to the late Leslie and Marie Seay, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Alsop.
John is survived by a son, Richard Seay; three brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 21, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Services, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway.
