She was born February 3, 1932, in Swissvale, PA, to the late Esker V. and Sara G. (Smitley) Eamigh. On December 1, 1951, she married George C. Young, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law of Elyria, OH; two sons and daughters-in-law; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Baird.
Sue retired from Unioto Schools in 1989 where she worked as a secretary for 20 years. She and George then moved to Wimauma, FL in 1999 before returning to Ohio in 2012. She was a former member of the Sun City Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, former member and past president of BPW, District Director of BPW, a former Girl Scout leader and former member of Walnut St. United Methodist Women. She was an avid quilter and member of the Good Time Quilters of Circleville, having won numerous ribbons at quilt shows.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 7, at Grandview Cemetery with her son, Dr. Mark Young, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 Saturday at Haller Funeral Home.
