Rena May (Davis) Engel, 95, died April 4, 1994. Born in Oklahoma City, May 12, 1898, to William and Louetta Davis. She was a member of St Francis of Assisi Church, Saint C ecelias Court of the Catholic Daughters and was selectedas "Catholic Daughter of the Year." She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Engel; sons, William Engel, Oklahoma City and Raymond Engel, Houston, TX; daughters, Dortha Jean Gordy and Mary Catherine Engel of Oklahoma City.
She is survived by daughter, Louise Gilbert, and son, James D. Engel and wife, Carm of Oklahoma City; daughters-in-law, Wynona Engel of Rancho, Murieta, CA, and Betty Engel of Houston, TX; son-in-law, Jack Gordy of OKC; two half sisters, Opal Patton and Andra Kelly of OKC. She has 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the St Anns Nursing Home, 9400 St Anns Drive. Visitation at Smith & Kernke Chapel, 7 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 5, 1995. Services 2 pm Wednesday, April 6, 1994, St Anns Chapel. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors.
