Funeral services for Jennie Warrington, 87, of Wall Lake were held at 10:30 a.m. at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Wall Lake on Tuesday, August 7, 2001. The Rev. Donald Gibson officiated. Mrs. Warrington passed away at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City on Friday, August 3, 2001.

Music was by organist Roland Erickson.

Pallbearers were Ed Reiter, Albert Schwanz, James Schwanz, Wayne Smidt, Harvey Smidt and Ed Mott. Interment was made in the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Jennie Warrington was born November 14, 1913, in Sac County, Ia., the daughter of Henry and Reaka Krenzien Smidt. She attended country school near Sac City. On March 11, 1936, she married Oliver Perry Dunkin. They lived near and in Wall Lake. Perry passed way in March of 1967. On December 17, 1970, she married Orie Warrington. He passed away in February of 1990.

Mrs. Warrington was a homemaker all of her life. She liked to garden.

Survivors include 2 sons: Donald (& wife Lois) Dunkin of Odebolt and Dennis Dunkin of Grundy Center; 3 stepchildren and their spouses: Margaretta and John Shallenberger of Ketchum, Okla., Ora Mae and Donald Hendrix of St. Eustatius, Caribbean, and Gail and Carolyn Warrington of Yuba City, Calif.; 5 grandchildren and spouses: Joan and Dale Olerich of Kiron, Carol and James Larson of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Janet and David Mott of Mt. Horeb, Wis., Shanon and Kurt Lux of Carroll and Brad Dunkin of Grundy Center; 6 great-grandchildren: Becky and Rodney Olerich, Brandy and Kyle Larson and Trent and Taylor Lux; a brother, Ted Smidt of Lake View; a brother-in-law and special friend, Herman Schwanz of Wall Lake; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Zimmer of Sac City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her 2 husbands; a sister, Gertie Peters; and 2 brothers, Nick and Gerd Smidt.
