Mark moved to Trinity County, TX, in 1877 with his father, James Wiley Driskell, and mother, Caroline Rogers Driskell. His father was born January 19, 1839, and died August 31, 1908. He was buried at the Holly Cemetery. His wife, Caroline, was born October 6, 1841, and died March 5, 1909. She was also buried at Holly Cemetery. Mack Mark married Mennie Brent, daughter of James Augusta Brent of Trinity County July 27, 1902, at Groveton, TX. They lived in Groveton the first part of their married life. They had ten children, four girls and six boys. They were: Guy Herbert (Pete), born July 5, 1903; James Hermond, born March 9, 1906 in Groveton, TX; Ellis Lorene, daughter, born January 28, 1910, Diboll, TX; Raymond, born November 18, 1912; Willie Morris the fourth son; Erva Vae, daughter, born September 30, 1917; Helen Christine, born June 23, 1919; Jonnie Maxie, daughter, born November 8, 1921; Grady Brent, born July 23, 1023; and an infant son, born November 13, 1925, who died three days after his birth. All were born in Trinity County. Mack and Mennie moved from the farm out near Friday, TX, to Woodlake, TX, five miles east of Groveton, TX, in July 1943. They lived there until Mack passed away, November 13, 1952. His wife, Mennie, resided in Pasadena with her daughter, Erva Vae, and two sons, Maurice and Mark Barclay. H e passed away April 27, 1956, and was buried at Holly Cemetery. They had fourteen grandchildren. The majority of the family of Mack and Mennie moved to Pasadena, TX, in 1935. Ellis Lorene Scott has lived in Sedro Woolley, Washington, since 1940. She has four children; Jonnie Maxie Willis lived in Lufkin, TX, since the early 50's. She has two boys and one girl.
