Jeff Dressel, age 56, of Toledo, passed away suddenly September 21st, 2011, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends.

Jeff was born May 31, 1955, to Leo and Georgiann Dressel.

He was a 1973 graduate of Start High School and retired from Jeep after 29 years.

Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially playing the role of Santa Claus for his nieces and nephews at Christmas time. He also enjoyed drawing and fishing; he was an avid outdoorsman.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Holly; children, Eric, Kansas and Sara Dressel; grandson, Jordin Vassel; siblings, Jean (Dan) Kerr, Charlie (Shelley), Bob (Lynn), Tom (Ms. Shirlene Holt) and Gary (Marian) Dressel; special friend, Mike "Groovy" Griffith; aunt, Helen Berbeck; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews and his group of friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Robert Hoover.

Friends will be received at Blanchard - Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Sunday from 4-8 PM and on Monday from 2 PM until the time of Services at 7 PM.

Special thanks to the Neuro-ICU staff at Mercy-St. Vincent for their care and compassion.

Memorials may be directed to the Toledo Firefighter's Museum or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
