Beverly Davis Britton, 77, of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday (June 22, 2011) at Harmar Place.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1934, in Marietta, a daughter of Walter D. and Rose Thelma Arnold Davis. Beverly was a homemaker and a member of Marietta Bible Center.

On Oct. 13, 1951, she married John David Britton, who preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2002.

She is survived by one son and two daughters: Mark Britton of Nashville, Tenn., Kim (Rick) Metts and Charrise Armistead, both of Marietta; seven grandchildren: Daniel (Robin) Britton, Jessica (Brett) Davis, Erica Metts, Danielle Armistead, Jonathan Armistead, Alex Armistead, Matthew Robertson; six great-grandchildren; one brother, David "Squirt" (Shirley) Davis; one sister, Bonnie "Babe" (Ray) Myers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday (June 25) at Marietta Bible Center on State Route 60, with Pastor Myron Guiler officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Friday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
