Albert Broadwater Davis, Sr
Albert was born in Greenville MS on June 30th, 1924 to the late Robert Preston Davis and Marie Broadwater Davis.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a member of the Tank Batallion.
He later enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served as Staff Sergant. Upon retirement he joined the Civil Service and worked as a cook at the Charleston Air Force Base until his second retirement. He then worked as a cook at Robert's BBQ for more than 20 years.
He is survived by his children: William Robert Davis (Deborah) of Goose Creek SC, Albert Broadwater Davis Jr. (Ava) of Crawfordsville FL, Rebecca Vaughn (Larry) of North Charleston SC, Jerry Lee Davis of Charleston Heights SC, Terry Davis (Tonya) of North Charleston SC, Randy Craig Davis of Hanahan SC, and Michael Brian Davis of Hanahan SC; grandchildren: Justin Calan, Lalie, Doug, Melissa, Shannon, LaTasha, Tiffany, Toni, Whitley, and Haley; seven great grandchildren; brothers: Evan Davis of James Island SC, Barney Davis of TX, and Craig Davis of MS.
He was preceded in death by is wife: Alice Merle Davis, daughter: Lisa Ann Davis: grandchild: Jenni Shae Davis; and daughter-in-law: Kristy Davis.
Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 9th 2010 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406.
Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
