Son of Jeremiah Petty Conklin(g) and Catharine Hulse, husband of Mary Ina Farnum and father of Elizabeth Alameda, Ellsworth and Amy G. Conkling.

He married Mary Ina Farnum in Brooklyn, NY on April 14, 1886.

He and his wife and children lived at 387 East Main Street in Patchogue, NY in 1920, 1930 and 1940.

Obituary - Frank E. Conkling, aged 81, a retired contractor, died Friday at his home. 387 East Main Street, Patchogue. Born in Calverton, he had lived in Patchogue for the last 58 years.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ina Farnum Conkling, of Patchogue, two daughters Mrs. Clifford Case of Patchogue, and Mrs. Victor McKelvey of Battle Creek, Mich.; a son F. Ellsworth Conkling of Cleweston, Fla.; a brother, John Conkling of Patchogue; a sister, Mrs. Austin Tuthill of Mattituck, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at two p.m. Monday, in the R.M. Sharp Funeral Home, Railroad Avenue, Patchogue, the Rev. Harry S. Crossett, pastor of the Patchogue Methodist Church, officiating in the absence of the Rev. Arthur H. Cooke, pastor of the Patchogue Congregational Church. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
