Loretta Jane Hawkins married William Monroe Plumb on 2 September 1894, at Eden, Arizona. Loretta's mother died when she was only six years old. Her father remarried Elizabeth "Page" Bowman.
William and Loretta Jane were the parents of three children, none of whom reached maturity. They were Rozelea Jane (died seven years), William Henry (died infant), and Wesley Earl (died infant). William and Loretta Jane took in her step-siblings after their mother, Elizabeth Baumann Hawkins, died. They were Lafayette, Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Elijah, David Elisha, and Albert Wesley Hawkins.
William died on 21 February 1903 of typhoid fever in Miami, Arizona, where he was working in the copper mines. He was brought home and buried in Eden.
Loretta Jane later married Leo Alonzo Colvin, son of Wesley Colvin and Elizabeth W. Winsby. They had one son, Wanley, who married Captola Palmer and later Clara Beals. Loretta Jane died 5 September 1914 and was buried in the Eden Cemetery. From: The Garden and How It Grew, Eden 1881-1991, page 184.
