Amos Sands Hawkins, 81, Florence, a retired range deputy for the Pinal County Sheriff's Department, died October 18, 1987, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. He was born in Eden and also was a livestock inspector for 10 years. Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Patrick; sons, Amos, Jr. and Joe; two sisters; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cole & Maud Mortuary, Florence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Florence Historical Society.
