W. N. Clements, Former Resident, Dies March 12

Walter N. Clements, 90, a former Creighton community resident, died March 12 at Vancouver, Wash. The body was returned here and funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Hengstler's Chapel with the Rev. David T. Gustafson, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Finke, Ivan Copeland, Fred Hasenpflug, Kenneth Smith, Osborne Bartling and John Meyer.

Walter Nathan Clements was born Aug. 17, 1872 in Madison County, Ia. He married Emma Susan Lewman Barnes on Nov. 27, 1897 at O'Neill. Thirteen children were born to them.

His wife and several children preceded him in death.

Survivors include eight sons and daughters, Asa Howard Clements of McCall, Ida.; Nellie Butler of Boise, Ida.; Bessie Scheinost of Big Piney, Wyo.; Pearl Charest, Wayne L. Clements and June Petsche of Vancouover, Wash.; Christopher Barnes of Huntington Park, Calif. and Ethel Mark of Yakima, Wash.; 26 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren and a brother, Rev. Curtis Clements of Mound City, Mo.
