JERSEY CITY Dominick Chiaro, age 88, a life long resident of the Marion Section, Jersey City, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Monday, April 5, 2010. Dominick was a WWII Veteran and served in the Third Army under General Patton and awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Dominick was a retired receiving manager for Union Carbide, Edison. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and 50 Plus Club of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Dominick was an avid bowler and a graduate of Ferris High School, Jersey City. Dominick is the beloved husband of the late Mildred (Jeffas). Devoted father of Richard and the late Donna Chiaro. Dear brother of Joseph Chiaro, Tessie Hilken and Sarah Rembecki. Loving grandfather of Michael and Mark Lugo, Caitlyn and Madison Chiaro. Cherished great-grandfather of Mark Lugo. Funeral will be on Saturday, April 10, 2010, 9:30 am at the funeral home. Funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 10:30 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.
