Albert D. Cheesman, 79, of Ridgeville, passed away Sept. 25,2013 at his home.

He was born July 13,1934 in Winchester, Albert was the youngest of 11 children.

Albert graduated from Modoc High School in 1952. After graduation he served 2 years in the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He than returned to farming about 600 acres and raised registered Duroc Hogs. He was President of Randolph County Pork Producers in 1967-1968. Albert and his wife, Vivian were proud members of Indiana Young Farmers Association. He also worked 10 years at Delco Remy, Muncie. In 1975, he purchased Cheesman's Corner Restaurant in Ridgeville. He moved to Arcadia, Florida in 1979 and opened a Pizza Shop and also ran a Video retail store. He later moved to Braden, FL., in 1986 and opened five video stores.

Survivors include his sons: Barry, Bruce and Bryon (wife Buffy); two grandsons, Bradley and Nicholas all of FL.; Ted Brinton and Pricilla Berry; four brothers, John H. Cheesman, Wallace Cheesman, Reed (Marg) Cheesman and Cloy (Wanetta) Cheesman all of Indiana; Ulla Cheesman, his deceased brother Keith's wife; 11 nieces and 10 nephews and their many children.

He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian; an infant son, Bradley Albert; his parents Hugh and Abigail (Sharp) Cheesman; brothers Donald, Eugene, Robert and Keith; sisters Ila Mae Disinger and Mary Irene Oler.

He was laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery, Farmland next to his wife of 55 years, Vivian M. (Garringer) Cheesman and their infant son, Bradley Albert Cheesman. Thornburg Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
