MADISON Mrs. Lillie Mae Holt Chaney, 86, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Millard Shelton, the Rev. Billy Nelson and the Rev. Roy Bullins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1917, daughter of the late Gordon Thomas and Mimmie Hundley Holt. She was a homemaker and member of Lake View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Joseph Chaney Sr., a son, Bobby Lee Chaney, a grandson, Randy Lee Chaney.
Surviving are four daughters, Peggy (James) Brim, Lorene (Cliff) Brim, Mary Ruth (Ray) Bullins, Dorothy (Steve) Chaney, all of Madison; two sons, Benny (Debbie) Chaney of Madison and William J. (Nancy) Chaney Jr., of Sandy Ridge; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
