LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Arlis B. Carter, 75, of Hilham, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allens Chapel Cemetery in Hilham.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 1, at the funeral home.
Mr. Carter died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, in Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born November 11, 1934 in Overton County to the late Rosier and Auda Garrett Carter. He was a cable t.v. installer.
He was a Christian and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by 2 brothers, James Carter of Hilham and Dewane Carter of Indiana; 3 sisters, Trudy McDonald of Allons, Joanna Bilbrey of LaFontaine, IN, and Cozetta Bilyeu of Hilham; and several nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Kelly Carter, and a sister: Agnes Phillips.
Pallbearers to serve are Bob and Gary Carter, Larry, Gary, and Jeff McDonald, and Carter Muncy.
