SWAINSBORO, Ga. - Betty Lou Campbell Barnes, 66, of 121 Lynn St., Swainsboro, Ga., died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at the Emanuel Medical Center.

Born Jan. 13, 1933, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Sadie (Swartz) Campbell. Her husband, Jack R. Barnes of Swainsboro, Ga., survives.

Also surviving are: children, Richard Barnes, Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Kathleen Barnes, Swainsboro, Ga., Denise Simmons, Loxahatchee, Fla., and Jackie Tucker, North Palm Beach, Fla; a sister, Shirley Campbell, Rehoboth Beach, Del.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was retired from Publix Supermarkets, West Palm Beach, Fla.

She was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Walter Mann and the Rev. Benjy Varnell officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Swainsboro, Ga.

Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home, 427 N. Main St., Swainsboro, Ga., and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
