Earl was born September 9, 1937, in Gage, Oklahoma. He passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, in Vancouver, Washington from complications of Lou Gherig's Disease. He was 67 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Twila M. (Korbe) Campbell; his children, Joyce Bender, Cindy Campbell, John Campbell and James Campbell, as well as three brothers and two sisters. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and one, soon to be two, great-grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed and forever revered.
A celebration of Earl's life was Saturday, February 12, 2005, at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic Church, 5310 NE 42nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Memorial Mass was preceded by recitation of the Holy Rosary. Private internment was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington.
The family requests donations be given in Earl's name to ALS Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington, 3316 NE Clackamas, Portland, Oregon 97232 or Hospice Southwest, PO Box 1600, Vancouver, Washington 98668.
