Annie Louise (Tomlin) Campbell, 85, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday November 9, 2013.
Mrs. Campbell was born on July 17, 1928 in Amherst County, VA and was a daughter of the late William Orman and Dora Lee (Martin) Tomlin. Annie was a homemaker, and she loved tending a garden and was a tremendous cook. Mrs. Campbell was a generous person who would always put everyone else before herself. Annie loved the LORD and always enjoyed hearing GOD's word. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will greatly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter Myree Campbell. In addition to her parents and husband, Annie was preceded in death by a son, David Campbell; a son-in-law C. Dennis Cash; and two brothers, Gordon Tomlin and Marvin Tomlin.
Annie is survived by two daughters, Audrey Cash of Madison Heights, Patty Kinsey of York, PA; two sisters, Essie Fitzgerald of Amherst, Susie Johnson and husband Charlie of Fishersville; two grandsons, Matthew Cash, Jonathan Cash and wife Lindy; two step-grandsons, Greg Cash and wife Laney, Scott Cash and wife Missy; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Grace Tomlin, Betty Tomlin; her beloved bird "Pete" and beloved cat "Bo"; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 13, 2013 at 2 PM at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Revs. Carlton Duck and Ronnie Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow at Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes from 7 until 8 PM.
Active pallbearers for the service will be Jonathan Cash, Matthew Cash, Scott Cash, Murphy Peters, Frankie Tanksley
