She was born on Oct. 2, 1930, in Washington, D. C. and was a daughter of the late Allen Lewis Sr. and Mayblossom Jennings Lewis.
Mrs. Calhoun and was a homemaker and a member of the Rileyville Baptist Church.
On Feb. 1, 1950, she married Aubrey Simpson Calhoun, who died on Dec. 30, 2005.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Marie Wright of Mount Jackson and Brenda May Burdick of Wexford, Pa.; a son, Allen Dennis Calhoun of Clayton, N. C.; a brother, Allen Lewis of Hudson, Fla.; a sister, Mary Ellen Polen of Potomac, Md; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Rileyville Baptist Church by the Rev. Alan McCullough and the Rev. David Johnson.
Burial will held at 10 a. m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Arlington National Cemetery.
