Mr. Calhoun was a Navy veteran of World Ward II and an operator with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Rileyville Baptist Church and attended Lambeth College in Jackson, Tenn., for two years.
On Feb. 1, 1950, he married Edna May Calhoun, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Linda Marie Wright of Mount Jackson and Brenda May Burdick of Wexford, Pa.; a son, Allen Dennis Calhoun of Manassas; three brothers, Robert Walter Calhoun of Gaffney, S. C., Thomas Edward Calhoun of Culpeper, and Charles Wesley Calhoun of Lynchburg; a sister, Barbara Ann Gray of Culpeper; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Calhoun and a sister Rebecca Marie Avelear.
