DEATH OF MRS. BUCHANAN.
Passed Away Yesterday Morning - Funeral Today.
Mrs. Isabella S. Buchanan, widow of Mr. A. L. Buchanan, died yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the residence of her son, Mr. W. F. Buchanan. She had been sick for two months and for a week her death had been expected at any time. Deceased was 65 years of age. She remained her mental vigor until the end. She was a good woman, full of good works and charity. She was a member of Tryon Street Methodist Church. Her surviving children are Mr. Hugh S. Simpson, Messrs. W. F. and S. N Buchanan, Mrs. B. D. Townsend, Mrs. T. H. Higgins, of Lenoir, Mrs. Chas. W. Cuthbertson, of Washington, Mrs. W. F. Elliott, of this city, and Mrs. W. H. Burns, of Greenville, S. C. The funeral takes place at 10:30 this morning at the residence, and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Chreitzberg, assisted by Rev. S. B. Turrentine. The pallbearers will be Messrs. J. C. Long, W. L. Davis, T. T. Smith, G. H. McGinnis, R. J. Sifford and W. A. Gresham.
