Mrs. Ida Hillhouse Dies in Hospital

Mrs. Ida Mae Hillhouse, mother of Mrs. George W. Barnes of 1160 Hillyer Avenue, died in a local hospital at 2:15 p.m. yesterday after a short illness.

Mrs. Hillhouse was a native of Chester, S.C and had been a resident of Macon for many years. She was educated in schools in North and South Carolina and was a member of the Methodist church. She was a member of the Eloise Taylor Bible class of the Cherokee Heights Methodist Church.

Other survivors include: four grandson, including George W. Barnes Jr., Harry F. Barnes and Wendell Barnes, all of Macon, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted in Memorial Chapel today at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Monroe Yarborough officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Walter H. Lewis, Robert W. Duke, David Brown, Jack Willis, A.J. Swann Sr. and W.C. Watson.
