Evie Mae Blagg, 87, of Denton died Friday, April 20, 2007, at The Vintage in Denton.
Mrs. Blagg was born Jan. 21, 1920, in Lewisville, Texas, to John M. and Nannie Aline Brown. She went to school in the Lloyd Community.
She was married to Eugene Blagg on Nov. 18, 1938, in Denton.
She was a member of the Denton Rebecca Lodge No. 18 and the Towne North Baptist Church. She retired from the Denton Independent School District as a cafeteria worker; she worked for many years at Strickland Junior High.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Upchurch, Charles Upchurch, James Ragland, Jeff Gann, Victor Gann and Capt. Richard Blagg Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Jo Gann of Aubrey; sons, Richard Eugene Blagg of Krugerville, Danny Mack Blagg of Denton; sisters, Lois Upchurch of Mabank, Mary Smith of Richardson; brother, Elton Brown of Sherman; sisters-in-law, Clara Norris of Denton, Alice Pockrus of Denton; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Dallas Chapter, 7610 N. Stemmons Freeway, Ste. 600, Dallas, TX, 75247-9952.
