William Howard Broadway

William Howard Broadway, 74, of Martin, Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at Volunteer General Hospital in Martin following an extended illness.

A native of Limestone County AL, he was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Jace and Delia Hargrove Broadway.

Mr. Broadway was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin. He was a WWII veteran and retiredf rom the Tennessee Valley Authority. He helped to organize the Civic League for Little League baseball in Huntsville, AL,where he was a resident for many years. He also coached the Huntsville Times Twins Little League.

Services were held Friday March 28, at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Burial was in Eastside Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Merrell Broadway; two sons, William Gary Broadway of Dixon, Missouri and Kenneth Howard Broadway of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter Angela Carol Bing of Martin; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step-great -grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
