Deloria "Dellie" Cecilia Brausen, a resident of the Pierz Villa, died Oct. 7, 2005, at the Pierz Villa.
Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial was at the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery.
Deloria was born on April 12, 1919, in Pierz to the late John and Caroline (Block) Boser. She was united in marriage to Joseph (Baker) Seelen in 1938. Baker passed away in 1952. Dellie then married Ray Brausen in 1962. She owned the Pierz Café and co-owned the Del-Ray Café and Coast to Coast store with her husband Ray. She worked actively in the Pierz American Legion Auxiliary and the Christian Mothers. Dellie enjoyed volunteer work, gardening, cooking and feeding friends and relatives.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Hoheisel of Pierz, Karen Carver of Pierz, Joelle Hayes and husband Clyde of Lastrup and Joyce Collins and husband Ben of Kona, HI; son Dennis Seelen and wife Pat of Andover; sisters, Laverne Tanner of Little Falls, Doreen Jones of Minneapolis, Lolly Hoheisel and husband Ralph of Pierz, Tootie LeBlanc of Pierz, Evie Boser and husband Ronald of Pierz and Terry Block and husband Harvey of Hillman; brothers, Mickey Boser and wife Lorraine of Osseo, Richard Boser and wife Marge of Pierz and Floyd Adriaens and wife Joan of Elk River; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph (Baker) Seelen and Ray Brausen; parents John and Caroline Boser; sisters Christine Duscher, Marie Collins and Catherine Wuellner; brothers Herb Boser and Freddie Boser; great-grandson Mark Carver and son-in-law Gene Carver.
Honorary pallbearers were Jill Pella, Catherine Lorentz, Leslie Carver, Diane Nelson, Lori Carver, Ann Hennen, June Quevedo, Susan Kremers and Amanda Okroi. Active pallbearers were Michael Seelen, James Hoheisel, Dan Carver, Tom Hayes, Dale Hayes and Tony Quevedo.
