Christine Duscher

Christine Marie Duscher, age 84, a resident of Pierz, died September 1, 1994 at St. Mary's Villa in Pierz.

Funeral services were held September 3 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Rev. Kenneth Brenny officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Christine was born on April 30, 1910 in Pierz to John J. and Marie (Kubishek) Boser. She was united in marriage to Jacob N. Duscher on September 17, 1929 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. The couple settled in Pierz. She worked for 10 years at Munsingwear in Little Falls, then for several years at Dellie's Cafe in Pierz. She and her husband owned and operated Town and Country Cleaners in Pierz until they retired. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was a Christian Mother. She also was a member of the Pierz Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her sons, Roger, wife Laura of South St. Paul and Donald Duscher, wife Edith, of Deer River; daughters, Irene Flicker, husband Ardell, of Pierz, Margaret Marshik, husband Alvin, of Royalton and Marilyn Clubb of Las Vegas; 30 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; brothers, Herb Boser of Pierz, Floyd Adriaens, wife Joan of Eden Valley, Milton Boser, wife Lorraine, of Osseo and Richard Boser, wife Gen, of Pierz; sisters, Marie Collins of Pierz, Deloria Brausen of Pierz, LaVern Tanner of Little Falls, Doreen Jones of Minneapolis, Agnes LeBlanc, husband Clinton, of Pierz, Loretta Hoheisel, husband Ralph, of Pierz, Evelyn Boser, husband Ronald, of Pierz and Teresa Block, husband Harvey of Pierz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jacob, one great-grandchild, sister Catherine Wuellner, and a brother, Wilfred.

Pallbearers were Thomas Marshik, James Marshik, Richard Flicker, Jay Flicker, David Duscher, Dan Duscher, Dennis Duscher, Donnie Jo Duscher.

Giftbearers were the great-grandchildren, and the lectors will be Mary Duscher and Carol Fischer.
