TOULON, Ill. (Special)—Funeral services for fro Mrs. Rhoda Bliss will be held at the residence in Lafayette at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Link, pastor of Methodist church, in charge. Burial will be in Princeville.
Rhoda Isabell Bliss, daughter of the late John and Isabel Clifton died at her home in Lafayette Saturday night, April 5, at 11:45 o'clock, at the age of 88 years, six months and three days. She was born on the old Clifton homestead, north of Peoria, where she spent her childhood.
On September 24, 1872, she was married to Rev. James T. Bliss of Princeville, who preceded her in death 16 years ago. To this union four children were born, Ernest Bliss, Cora McCabe, Frank Bliss all of Lafayette and Vinnie Hagy of Lostant. She also leaves five living grandchildren and one deceased and six great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Methodist church since childhood and was active in church activities until her health failed.
