MIDVALE-Edna Andrea Gunderson Blanchard, age 88, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died December 27, 1992 of causes incident to age.
She was born May 9, 1904 in Fountain Green, Utah to Edward and Sophia Augason Gunderson. On March 27, 1925 she married Joseph Vern Blanchard in Murray, Utah; marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Vern preceded her in death June 29, 1970. Edna was a kind, caring lady to her family, relatives, neighbors and friends. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many capacities; she especially loved her calling as Relief Society teacher until herage and health problems curtailed her activities. She had a beautiful yard and flowers that she loved to work in with the help of her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Shirl. Her whole life was dedicated to her children and their families. She sacrificed many things for them.
Survivors: daughters, Shirley Beckstead and husband, Shirl, Midvale; Audrey Margetts and husband, Glen, West Jordan; daughter-in-law, Georgia Blanchard, Woodland Hills, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Ray Johnson and wife, Margaret; sister, Mildred Olsen, both Murray. Preceded in death by a son, Edward (Ted) Blanchard.
Funeral services Thursday, December 31, 1992, at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
