Betty Sue Leonard Black, 80, of Hargrave Street, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington after declining health.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home .

Mrs. Black was born April 2, 1932 in Davidson County to James Reid Leonard Sr. and Ruby Jarvis Leonard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lexington. Was retired with 29 years of service from Pic and Pay Shoe Store. She is preceded in death by her two daughters; Tanya Sue Black and Cydney Leigh Ann Black.

In addition to her mother of Lexington she is survived by her brother, James Reid Leonard Jr., of Lexington.
