James "Jim" was born to James Reid Leonard Sr. and Ruby Jarvis Leonard in Davidson County, Lexington, NC on February 14, 1938. He was a member of Sheets Memorial, retired from Greensboro Credit Union, enjoyed spending time at the beach and working crossword puzzles. James was also known for his love for his Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his parents, son in-law Danny Black and sister Betty Sue Black.
Surviving are his daughter Marche Leonard Black, of Greensboro; two sons, James Reid Leonard III of Marshville, Todd Beckner Leonard and wife Lana of Thomasville, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
